our cider

We began producing small-batch hard cider in the summer of 2012.  While we continue to perfect our trade and expand our business, our production remains extremely small and therefore our ciders are only available locally in the New Paltz, NY area.  If you're in the Hudson Valley and your favorite beer or wine store does not carry Kettleborough, be sure to ask for it by name! All of our ciders are GLUTEN FREE unless otherwise stated!

SILVER MEDAL WINNER- 2013 Hudson Valley Wine Competition Cider Category
Our flagship cider.  Dry Cider is a departure from sweeter "run-of-the-mill" hard ciders that have always dominated the market.  Our Dry Cider is made from a blend of Northern Spy and Granny Smith apples to create a light acidity and fresh green apple flavor.  Think "Dry Apple Prosecco."  It pairs well with many foods, especially white meats, cheeses, fruits and especially any spice-forward dishes.

Apple Mimosa: A crowd favorite!  Mix equal parts Kettleborough Dry Cider and Dressel Farms sweet apple cider in a glass.  Adjust ratio to taste.  Serve immediately.

Attention all Honeycrisp fans!  Everyone's favorite apple is now a hard cider!

"Honey Honey" is a semi-dry cider made from a hand-sorted blend of apples and sweetened with 100% Honeycrisp juice infused with Pure New York State Honey.  The touch of sweetness is properly balanced with a bit of acidity to keep the cider crisp, light and refreshing.  BBBBZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!

In the 1800's, New York was the #1 producer of hops in the United States. Now we bring that tradition back with our "Lightly Hopped" Cider!

This cider brings out the wonderful floral aromas and citric flavors of the Cascade Hop without overpowering the bright fruitiness of the cider.  Perfectly balanced and refreshingly crisp, it's a cider that will appeal to IPA-lovers and casual drinkers alike! And yes, it's still gluten-free!

"Huguenots" were Calvinist protestants who fled persecution in Catholic France in the 17th century. Some of them settled and founded our hometown of New Paltz, NY in 1678. Made in a French style, our Huguenot Cider enjoys a long, slow fermentation employing only natural wild yeast and no added sugars, flavors, or preservatives.  More than 20 varieties of heirloom French, English, and American apples come together in this rustic blend.

This cider is non-sparkling, unfiltered, hand-bottled, and totally unlike anything else.  The tannic old world fruit impart a complex flavor and body that is impossible to accomplish with modern eating apples.  Funky, earthy, and crisp, this is what cider is supposed to be! This cider is meant to be drunk with food- try it with rich cheese, pork sausage, roast chicken, or even spicy curry!

Apple varieties included: Binet Rouge, Harry Masters, Somerset Redstreak, Chisel Jersey, Ellis Bitter, Dabinette, Medaille d'Or, Brown Snout, Tremlett's Bitter, Michelin, Esopus Spitzenberg, Golden Russet, Smokehouse, Northern Spy, Stayman Winesap, Porter's Perfection, Ashmead's Kernel, Bedan, Calville Blanc d'hiver, Cox's Orange Pippin, Frequin Rouge, Kingston Black

"Pét-Nat" is short for "pétillant naturel"- a French term meaning "naturally sparkling."

Huguenot Pét-Nat is made from the same Old World apples as our original Huguenot Cider, but with a delightfully light fizz. Bright fruit flavors are complemented with earthy undertones and soft tannins reminiscent of a traditional cider from Normandy, France. Like our original Huguenot Cider, the P
ét-Nat is unfiltered and hand-bottled. It pairs wonderfully with charcuterie boards, shellfish, or spiced desserts.
